This is the Los Angeles Rare Bird Alert for June 8, 2023.

The TUNDRA BEAN-GOOSE in the Antelope Valley continued at Apollo Park through June 8.

A WHITE-WINGED DOVE was in Chatsworth on May 31.

A FRANKLIN’S GULL was at the Ballona Freshwater Marsh from June 3-4 and a CRESTED CARACARA was seen there on June 4.

A YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON continued at Ballona Lagoon in Marina del Rey through June 3.

A ZONE-TAILED HAWK was in Monrovia again on June 7.

A GRAY CATBIRD continued at the Piute Ponds on Edwards AFB (letter of permission required) through June 8 at the northeast corner of Big Piute.

A WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW was at Pt. Fermin on June 5.

A ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was in the Old Zoo area of Griffith Park from May 30-June 4. 

An INDIGO BUNTING was on San Clemente Island from June 2-5.
