A BRANT continued at the Piute Ponds on Edwards AFB (letter of permission required) through May 14.
A "EURASIAN" GREEN-WINGED TEAL was at the Piute Ponds through May 9.
Up to two COMMON GROUND DOVES continued in Cerritos south of the Volutone store parking lot.
A WHITE-WINGED DOVE was in Sea View on the Palos Verdes Peninsula on May 8.
Two BLACK SWIFTS were along the Los Angeles River south of Anaheim Street on May 11.
An AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHER was on the Los Angeles River south of Anaheim Street on May 14. Be aware that American x Black Oystercatcher intergrades have been present as well.
A NEOTROPIC CORMORANT continued at Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas through May 14. These birds are generally seen on the buoys near the north shore of the lake.
Other NEOTROPIC CORMORANTS included 2 on the lake at the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve on May 7, up to two on the Los Angeles River south of Willow Street and one south of Anaheim Street on May 14.
An AMERICAN BITTERN was at the Piute Ponds on May 9.
Up to five YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS were seen at Sims Bio Pond in Long Beach through May 11.
A very late MERLIN was at Bear Divide near Santa Clarita on May 8.
PURPLE MARTINS were at the Piute Ponds on May 7 (two birds) and on May 9 and at Harbor Regional Park in Harbor City (5 birds) on May 11.
A BLACK-THROATED SPARROW was in Manhattan Beach on May 14.
A CLAY-COLORED SPARROW continued at Victory Park in Pasadena through May 8. Another was at the Piute Ponds on May 9.
A BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER was at Hopkins Wilderness Park in Redondo Beach on May 11. Another was at Harbor Regional Park in Harbor City on May 14.
A SUMMER TANAGER was in Marina Del Rey on May 7 and another continued at Pearblossom Park in the south Antelope Valley through May 12.
