This is the Los Angeles Rare Bird Alert for May 3.
A NEOTROPIC CORMORANT continued at the lake at Santa Fe Dam in Irwindale through April 27.
Another NEOTROPIC CORMORANT was at MacArthur Park near downtown Los Angeles on April 29.
A CALIFORNIA CONDOR was northwest of Castaic Lake along the Old Ridge Route on April 28.
The DUSKY-CAPPED FLYCATCHER continued at Heartwell Park in Long Beach through May 2. It has often been reported by the community building on the west side of the park.
A TROPICAL KINGBIRD continued at Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park in Harbor City through April 25. It has often been around the Ranger Station and playground area on the west side of the lake.
A WHITE-THROATED SPARROW continued at Crescenta Valley Park in La Crescenta through April 23. It was along the El Lado Trail adjacent to a sitting log.
A PALM WARBLER was at Hahamongna Watershed Park in Pasadena on April 24 on the west side of the settling ponds.
An adult male SUMMER TANAGER was singing at Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park in Harbor City from April 30-May 1. It was in the willows in the northeast part of the park.
