Los Angeles Audubon invited high school and middle school students from across LA County to participate in a Youth Summit on February 17. In all, 42 students participated in activities ranging from a species count of birds for the Backyard Bird count, to learning how to advocate for environmental issues that they care about. Funding for the Youth Summit was made possible through a grant from the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation. Special thanks to the Audubon Center at Debs Park for providing a perfect setting to learn and explore.
