The Making of SoCal Snowy Owl - Christopher Angel

  • Los Angeles Audubon Society (map)

Director Christopher Angel and producer Walter Josten of Blue Rider Pictures will discuss how they made a documentary film about this once-in-a-hundred-year-visitor to Southern California: an arctic snowy owl who roosted on the roofs of the suburb of Cypress, CA. This bird united the community and changed the lives of people who lived there in wonderful and unexpected ways. This story shows why we should preserve natural habitats and why bird-watching has meaning for so many.

SoCal Snowy Owl will be airing on PBS SoCal in April for Earth Month (and available online at pbssocal.org ) and screening at the Natural History Museum on Thursday April 24th https://nhm.org/calendar/green-screen-our-planet-film-earth-focus-pbs-socal

The meeting will be on Zoom at https://zoom.us/j/96342025082
