Southern Sierra Owling Weekend, similar to last year’s, will be from 4ish PM July 3 through 11AM July 6, out of Alta Sierra, west of Lake Isabella and Wofford Heights. Mary & Nick will once again be assisted by local, world-class bird expert and bird illustrator, John Schmitt! 4-day (sorta), 3-night event. This is an amazing value. While rooms will be shared, half of a shared hotel room nearby alone would cost at least $150-300 for three nights. We will be in a 4-bedroom, 2-bath, full kitchen, two story AirBnB cabin; which worked very well for us last year. There will be a weenie roast the second night, and expert guiding is included. The first night we will all pitch in with a pot luck, and there are always plenty of leftovers for the third night. 9 min / 10 max including leaders. Mary will coordinate room assignments and potluck items with participants. We will be staying out very late (1-2 AM or later?) with lots of night driving. Consider inviting another driver if possible.

Total price for the entire weekend is $180.00 per person - a price you will not find at any bird festival!
Once your registration fee has been received in the mail, you will receive email notice of such. Then, standby to be further advised of your paid participant status. Upon confirmation of your paid participant status, the full itinerary will be provided to the first 8 from whom fees are received, as can best be accommodated by the sleeping arrangements. The last couple of sign-ups may require a bit of shoe-horning.
If you are NOT among the first 8 to be confirmed, you will be placed on the PAID WAIT LIST and we will hold your check in case another should cancel. We will contact you to confirm your continued interest and you move up to confirmed status. If you do not make it to confirmed status, your check will be either returned or destroyed at your option.
