BIRDS MENTIONED…

TUNDRA BEAN-GOOSE | Pectoral Sandpiper | Least Tern | Zone-tailed Hawk | Yellow-throated Warbler | Black-throated Green Warbler | Rose-breasted Grosbeak


This is the Los Angeles Rare Bird Alert for June 23, 2023.

The TUNDRA BEAN-GOOSE continued at Apollo Park near Lancaster through June 23.

An early PECTORAL SANDPIPER was along the Los Angeles River in Long Beach on June 23 below Del Amo Blvd.

A LEAST TERN was in Area 3 at El Dorado Park in Long Beach on June 22.

A ZONE-TAILED HAWK was in Glendora on June 19.

A YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER and a BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER were on San Clemente Island (no public access) on June 18.

A ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was on San Clemente Island on June 16.
