This is the Los Angeles Rare Bird Alert for June 11.

A BRANT continued at the Piute Ponds on Edwards AFB (letter of permission required) through June 10.

A WHITE-WINGED DOVE was along the San Gabriel River in South El Monte from June 6-10.  It was seen upstream from the Thienes Ave. entrance.

Above Claremont Wilderness Park, a BLACK SWIFT was seen on June 4.

A HEERMANN'S GULL was at Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas on June 7.

Very rare was a SHORT-TAILED ALBATROSS found a few miles off San Pedro on June 5 and seen again on June 6.

A NAZCA BOOBY was seen in the Los Angeles Harbor on June 6.

Along the lower Los Angeles River, a NEOTROPIC CORMORANT continued through June 8.  It was last seen between Willow Street and the 405 Freeway.

A YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was by the Marine Stadium at the north end of Alamitos Bay on June 6.

Marshall Canyon Golf Course in LA Verne produced a SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER on June 4.

An OVENBIRD was on San Clemente Island on June 5.

A SUMMER TANAGER continued at Pearblossom Park in the south Antelope Valley through June 7.  Another was at Stephen Sorenson Park in Lake Los Angeles on June 8.

On San Clemente Island, a ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was found on June 4.
